Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association launched

The Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association UK has been officially inaugurated during a ceremony in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Around 200 BCSA members gathered at the A.S Mahmud Seminar Hall to celebrate the inauguration of BCSA UK. The event was organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Supporters Association.

New pin badges and cufflinks were awarded to Bangladesh members from all regions of Bangladesh who came to Dhaka for the event. These gifts were donated by BCSA UK. Chief guest during the occasion was the Bangladesh Cricket Board Media Committee chief Jalal Yunus.

Others guests included former national team opening batsmen Javid Omer Belim and Zunaid Paiker (Chair and founder member of the BCSA) who said, “This is a unique launch and designed to keep supporters at the forefront of this great sport. I’m excited at the prospect of what we can achieve together.”

Also in attendance were  Ishika Khan (founder member) and Abdus Salam (Chair of BCSA UK), who said, “Our aim is to  unite fans worldwide and to highlight the wonderful game of cricket. As the UK rep I am proud to be working alongside such talented people and look forward to moving forward with our exciting plans.”

There were video messages from several executive members of the BCSA UK outlining the key aims and objectives for the next twelve months, including hosting an event with the Bangladesh national team during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, where Bangladesh will take on hosts England and Australia at the Oval and New Zealand in Cardiff.
