A COLLISION BETWEEN an HGV and a cyclist just before Christmas killed a cyclist – an 80 year old man. The collision occurred just after 3pm on London Road, Romford.

The cyclist’s next of kin have been informed, but formal identification and a post mortem are awaited.  The HGV driver, who stopped at the scene, is helping police investigate the cause of the collision.

The police are asking for anyone who saw the collision, or has a recording of it, to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath on 020-8597 4874. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
