The Observer Ethical Award which the Cemetery Park won earlier this year has finally arrived. The Park’s newest employee, Dan, is pictured holding the award.

Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park

The Cemetery Park has won a Green Flag Award and will therefore, together with all other winning sites, be entered into the annual People’s Choice Award vote. Last year saw over 35,000 votes from the public, and the Cemetery Park was lucky enough to make it into the top 20. This year the Friends are hoping the Cemetery Park will come in the top ten. They are asking supporters to go to the Green Flag Award website and click the button which says “vote for this site”:

  1. I stumbled across the Tower Hamelts Cemetery Park last week and was enchanted by it. Surely many more. People. Could be engaged in helping to restore it? Are there local schools in on the restoration as part of their Duke ofEdnburgh AwardScheme community service? There should be.
