Frontera! Latin America comes to London

The Frontera Festival was born in 2013 in Santiago, Chile. Audiences of up to 60,000 people enjoyed all that Latin music had to offer – in all its different styles, trends and genres. The Festival grew fast, and it is now one of the anchors of the contemporary music scene in South America, attracting all the biggest names from across the continent.

Now the Frontera Festival has broken out of its own continent and come to London. It’s bringing some of the best talent from South America, including many artists who are not (yet) known in the UK. The main highlights are:
Puerto Rican reggae band Cultura Profetica (Prophetic Culture), which boasts over 35 million views on its official YouTube channel;
Argentinian electro-pop band Miranda!;
massively influential Brazillian psychedelic rock band Os Mutantes;
Chilean singer-songwriter Gepe;
Spanish rock band La Fuga;
multicultural indie-folk outfit Jenny & The Mexicats.

latin americaAs well as the international bill-toppers, there will be a range of UK-based Latin artists, and Moo Cantina Argentina will be present to showcase authentic Argentinian street food.

Festival organisers have confirmed they intend to light up London with their infectious Latin beat sounding through the ultimate celebration of Latin American music ever staged in London. They want to attract homesick expats and curious Londoners who are intrigued by the Latin rhythm: the whole audience can soak up the food, music and atmosphere and enjoy a truly South American experience.

The Festival takes place at London’s biggest nightclub, Studio 338 in Greenwich, on Saturday 28th May. Tickets are £40 for general admission – but 400 earlybird tickets have been released for sale at £35.
