Hornchurch man critically injured

IT WAS JUST around midnight on Saturday, 16th December when an argument broke out in the Vertigo Lounge in Station Lane, Hornchurch. The emergency services attended and found a 33 year old man suffering from head injuries.

The injured man was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as being serious but not life-threatening. Police reported that it seemed that the man had been pushed down some stairs during that argument.

A 45 year old man was arrested later that day at a nearby address.  He was taken to an East London police station and later released under investigation.

Anyone who was in the Vertigo lounge around the time of the incident or has any information about it is asked to contact East Area CID on 020-8345 2724. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
