“Murder in Romford” – three in court

MEN have now been charged with the murder of Liam Alan Harman, 28, in Straight Road, Romford on 11th July. Harman died as a result of stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.

Nathan Charles, 22, of no fixed abode, was arrested on 20th July. He was charged on 21st July with murder and possession of cannabis. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 10th October.

Two other suspects were charged with murder on 20th September. They are Kamal Hamilton-Albert, 21, of Highfield Road, Woodford Green and Gleneson Mark, 22, of Whitta Road, E12. They are being held in custody and were due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 21st September.

The fourth man to be charged is Cedric Kiyago, 21, who was charged on 21st September and was due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on 22nd September. Kiyago is currently serving a prison sentence.

Four other men have been arrested during the investigation of this murder. One man, 27, was arrested on 15th July. Two 18 year old men and a third man aged 21 were arrested on 3rd August. All have been released but continue to be under investigation.

The fatal stabbing is still being investigated  by the Metropolitan Police Homicide and Major Crime Command.
