Raja Ali murder – man charged with murder

AN ILFORD MAN was arrested on 2nd January and charged with the murder of Raja Ali, who lost his life on 25th September 2016, at Braintree Road in Dagenham.

The man charged is Navarda Rhooms, 26, of Eton Road, Ilford.  As well as the murder, he has also been charged with violent disorder.

Manslaughter in Dagenham

The case is unusual because two men had already been convicted of manslaughter arising from the incident in which Raja Ali lost his life. At the time of those convictions the police said that they thought others were involved in the incident and they would continue trying to identify them and bring them to justice.
