London Tigers ran a StreetGames Sports Festival with football tournaments for under-12s, -14s, -16s and -18s as the main event of the day along with basketball and cricket in smaller groups. Over 100 participants and spectators attended the event, with participants awarded medals.
The event was co-ordinated by Bilal Rahaman. As well as enabling young people to try different sports, the tournament also celebrated the end of a good football season for the Tigers football club and the formation of a new under 15s team.
“It was hard work but worth the win,” said Juned, 14, the goalkeeper from the winning team in the under-14s category.
