THE BANGLADESH Football Association (BFA) Summer League Cup finals, sponsored by the Sonali Bank, return to Mile End Stadium on Monday, 18th September.
The vets Cup Final will see Newark face Pervez Chowdhury’s Sylhet FC. In the Sonali Bank cup final later on that same evening, Muj Rahman’s Stepney FC will face BYM – with both teams seeking to pick up the prestigious trophy for the first time.
Stepney first team Head Coach Muj Rahman said, “Despite unprecedented success over two decades, this is a trophy which has eluded us. It won’t be an easy game by any means as both teams seek to add another chapter to their illustrious history. It’ll be an exciting final for sure.”
Football fans can watch the game for free and are requested to attend early to avoid disappointment. The venue and Cup Final are family friendly, and the presence of football fans from the community, showing support for the tremendous efforts of the BFA UK at the grassroots level of the sport, would be a great boost.
