IT WAS JUST AFTER 6pm on Easter Sunday that news came in to the police of another East End stabbing. The reports were of a young man having been stabbed in or near St Leonard’s Street, E3.

Police arrive and found a 16 year old boy, who had been stabbed. They called out an ambulance and gave him first aid until it arrived. The ambulance took him to an East London hospital, where he remains. He is in a stable condition and, fortunately, his injuries are not life threatening.

Officers from Tower Hamlets CID are investigating the crime. They have already charged four teenagers with grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with this incident. They very much want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.

Anyone who has any information about the stabbing is asked to call police via 101 and quote reference CAD 5293/01Apr. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
