SEAN THAKE WAS just 22 when he died. He was a pillion passenger on a motorbike which collided with a minibus in Wood Lane, Dagenham, last April and died at the scene of the accident.

Driving the motorbike was Levi Douglas, 21, of no fixed abode. Douglas was taken to hospital after the accident and when he was discharged he was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, taking and driving away, driving with no insurance or a driving licence, and possession of cannabis. Douglas was released on bail on the basis that he would return to a police station in August – but he did not turn up.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are still looking for Douglas and are now appealing to the public for help in finding him. Anyone who has seen Douglas or has other information about where he might be is asked to contact police at the SCIU on 020-8597 4837 or phoning 101. Police would also be pleased to hear from anyone who was a witness to the accident or has any information about it.
