PEOPLE who have severe allergies need to be really, really careful. A small amount of an allergen can make them react – needing emergency medication. Even a small dose of the allergen can be fatal.
Daylesford Organic Ltd has therefore decided to recall its Organic Minestrone Soup with Cannellini Beans, Pasta Shells and Olive Oil. The fact that the soup contains gluten (a protein found in wheat) has not been emphasised on the label. This could cause people who cannot eat gluten – because of an allergy, an intolerance or because they have coeliac disease – to become ill.
The affected product comes in a 500ml pack size and has various “best before” dates ranging from 26th April (packs with this date have presumably been used up or thrown away) to 24th May 2026.
Anyone who has this product is advised not to open it. You should return it to the store where you bought it, where you should obtain a full refund, even if you do not have a receipt. For more information, contact Daylesford on 01608-692 871 or email them on; guest.services@daylesford.com
