East Ham stabbing becomes a murder hunt

HOMICIDE AND Major Crime Command are investigating an incident which occurred in East Ham on Monday, 26th June – which left a man dead from stab wounds.

Just after 8pm the emergency services received reports that there had been a stabbing at the corner of White Horse Road and Gresham Road, E6. Police and the London Ambulance Service responded to the call. The victim was a man believed to be in his 30s. He was taken to an East London hospital and was pronounced dead just before 9pm.

The man has not yet been formally identified and the results of a post mortem are awaited.

Detectives are asking everyone who was in this area on Monday evening to contact them. Even if you did not witness the stabbing, you can help police build up a picture of what went on that evening.
