A MAINS WATER pipe has burst in Bow – leaving a large area under several inches of water tonight (6th July). Water is currently covering an area between the Bow roundabout and Fairfield Road.
The emergency services are in attendance. Thames Water is on their way to repair the problem.
The police are warning people not to go swimming or paddling in the water. It is not clean water and may cause illness.
Traffic cannot get through and road closures are being put in place. Police anticipate that roads will be closed all night and are appealing to the public to find alternative routes through north Tower Hamlets.
