POLICE are continuing an investigation into the death of NHS worker David Gomah – and hoping that the arrests they have made will help bring his killers to justice.

David Gomoh left his home in Newham on 26th April to go shopping. He was just 24. While he was on the phone to his girlfriend, he was set upon, stabbed eight times – and died. It was a double blow for his family: David’s father died from Covid and the family were waiting for his funeral when David died.

The first two young men arrested were Muhammad Jalloh, 19, of Stratford and a 16 year old from Telford. Both were charged with murder on 3rd May. They were also charged with conspiracy to cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) in connection with an earlier incident with a different victim. It did not involve David Gomoh and took place at a different location. These two appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on 4th May and were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey.

The third man arrested was Vagnei Colubali, 22. He was arrested on 16th May and was charged with conspiracy to cause Grievous Bodily Harm with intent in respect of an unknown male. He was also charged with threatening another with a knife/bladed article.  He was remanded to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on 18th May.

The fourth, and latest, arrest was of David Ture, 18, of no fixed abode. He was arrested on 18th May and charged on the same day with the murder of David Gomoh and with conspiracy to cause Grievous Bodily Harm with intent towards an unknown male. He was held in custody and was due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on 19th May.

A hearing was held at the Old Bailey on 20th May at which Ture and Colubali were further remanded in custody. All four defendants are due to appear again at the Old Bailey on 22nd July to enter their pleas to the charges they face.
