POLICE ARE looking for one last suspect as they investigate the murder of Romanian national Sandel Serbu in Ilford last November.

Serbu was found on High Road, at the junction with Connaught Road – badly injured, apparently after a fight. He was taken to hospital but died shortly after being admitted

The investigation is being conducted by the Homicide and Major Crime Command, which had previously made an appeal to the public to trace two men who were wanted for questioning.

Now an updated appeal has been issued in respect of just one of those two men. Police are still trying to trace Araman-Nardi Stoica (pictured above), 24, who also uses the name Nardi Gladiatoru. He is described as 5ft 11ins tall and of medium build. He is known to frequent Redbridge, Newham and Barking.

Detective Inspector Paul Considine, who is leading the investigation, said, “We need to speak to this man in connection with Sandel’s brutal murder. Whilst we have made a number of arrests, and charged three men, its important we trace Araman-Nardi . I would urge anyone who may recognise him or knows of his whereabouts to contact police immediately.”

Anyone who recognises this man or knows of his whereabouts should contact police immediately by dialling 999.

Anyone who has any other information that can assist police with the investigation is asked to call the Homicide and Major Crime Command incident room on 020-8345 3734. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
