Kids week covers the month ahead

August 05, 2014

London parents may have a problem explaining to their children why Kids “Week” lasts a month – but never mind, as it will help us all get through yet another summer holiday (and probably with a little fun along the way). Kids Week 2014 was launched last weekend by West End stars who brought top children’s productions to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, with performances enhanced by a range of side shows and stalls.

It’s the seventeenth Kids Week. The initiative, run by the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), aims to encourage young people and their families to experience the magic of live theatre. During Kids Week, a child aged 16 or under can go free to participating shows when accompanied by an adult paying full price. Up to two extra children’s tickets can also be purchased at half price, per transaction.

Tickets for Kids Week, which runs for the whole of August, are now on sale at www.kidsweek.co.uk and by telephone from 0844 248 5151 supported by Ticketmaster with no booking or postage fees. There are limited Kids Week tickets for several shows and productions in major London theatres as well as meal deals at selected London restaurants and travel and hotel offers.
