Kind hearted staff from Pearson – The World’s Learning Company – have given up their time and money to bring some festive cheer to some of London’s most vulnerable citizens. The Relations & Development team members donated a kindness box, which comprised of a substantial number of delightful gifts for homeless citizens from the capital city. The boxes were prepared, packed and individually wrapped with love by staff from Pearson, including Pericles Pericleous, Luisa Petruccio, Karar Saeed and Yasmin Muhiuddin and were then handed over to another group of volunteers who run two weekly homeless soup kitchens.

Nazia Sarkar from Pearson Qualification Services came up with the idea. She is a regular volunteer with the One Third Soup Kitchen which operates in Stratford City and Whitechapel’s Booth House. She said, “This is the season of goodwill. Whatever faith or background we are from, this is a chance for us all to unite and remember the less fortunate. The response to this appeal has been simply fantastic and I’m very proud of how our team have come together. My soup kitchen colleague Emdad and I will ensure that these cherished gifts reach homeless friends at our soup kitchen on Christmas Eve.”
