London Tigers have won the Inner London Football League Cup after defeating old foes Stepney in the last game of the season.
An entertaining game finished 2-2, with the Tigers holding their nerve and Azmal Hussain making two outstanding saves to win 3-2 on penalties.
Before the final, an exhibition game between World Cup winners Team Bangladesh and Team Rohingya was played out – with a 7-1 win for Bangladesh.
Inner London Football League Vice Chair Rashid Ali commented, “We have just had a memorable season with some outstanding football throughout. These two games tonight have really proven to be the icing on the cake. This is the power of football. Well done everybody.”
