MENCAP RUN SERIES Manager Lucy Plumridge is cycling the Surrey100 for Mencap on 29th July – that’s 100 miles around London, down to Surrey and then back up to finish along The Mall.

Lucy’s fundraising target is £450 – and she is aiming to beat this.

Mencap supports children and adults with a learning disability to overcome challenges they face every day, like discrimination and isolation – which in her opinion makes a 100 mile bike ride seem paltry in comparison.

Speaking ahead of the event Lucy said, “It’s been a lot of fun training for the cycle and I look forward to taking on the miles and the hills with your support encouraging me! There’ll be lots of hills, lots of pedalling and a rather numb bum!” #thirtysixdaystogo
