Man charged after Whitechapel robbery

A MAN HAS been charged with committing a robbery in Whitechapel – in a case of a public appeal providing the police with information leading to them identifying and locating a suspect.

Belal Ali, 36, of Princelet Street, E1, was finally arrested on 14th May. He was charged, on the same day, with committing a robbery at the newsagents MS Express, in Osborn Street, E1 at 3am on 16th November last year.

The victim of the robbery was also assaulted and needed hospital treatment. Mr Ali was required to appear at Thames Magistrates Court following his arrest.
