A MAN HAS BEEN stabbed to death in Bow – just days after the funeral of Syed Jamanoor Islam, who was stabbed to death in Mile End, and after a series of stabbing incidents across London.

Police were called to Eagling Close, Bow, at approximately 4.30pm today (Saturday, 12th May) to deal with an argument or fight which appeared to be happening in the street. By the time they arrived, the victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, had been stabbed.

The Ambulance Service responded to the same emergency call, sending help by road and also sending out the Air Ambulance. Paramedics worked to save the victims, but he had to be pronounced dead shortly after 5.30pm.

The police arrested two men in the vicinity of the incident and have been trying to find the victim’s next of kin to inform them.

Anyone who saw the incident or who can provide any other information should call the police on 101. Alternatively you can ring Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where your information will be handled in confidence and you do not have to provide your name.
