POLICE ARE asking the public to help find Mandeep Mehmi. He is known to carry weapons and has a history of violence, and he should not be approached.
Mehmi, 37, had been detained in a south London hospital under the Mental Health Act. He was receiving treatment at Oxleas House, Stadium Road, SE18.
He was last seem just after 6pm on Sunday, 4th June, when he was wearing an orange jacket over grey trousers and a grey top and black trainers.
Mehmi is described as Asian, 5ft 10 ins, and of slim build. He has short, untidy black hair and a black beard and has a small scar on the inside of his left wrist. He speaks with a London accent.
Anyone who knows Mehmi’s whereabouts is reminded not to approach him and is asked to phone 999 immediately. You can also phone the police on 101.
•STORY UPDATE: It has been reported that Mandeep Mehmi has returned to the hospital on his own accord. He has now been detained there under the Mental Health Act and will be receiving medical treatment to help him.
