THE EAST LONDON MOSQUE has asked for volunteers from across London to come forward to help with the funerals of those who have died from COVID-19. The appeal is made in partnership with the Muslim Community Association.

The request for volunteers goes out as the Mosque anticipates that the numbers of those who have died from the virus will increase in the coming weeks. Volunteers are warned that the work carries an element of risk. Training will be given.

Volunteers can be male or female and must be: •under 50 years of age •be fit and healthy with no underlying health issues •not be in regular contact or live with anyone who is elderly and/or has underlying health issues •can be flexible over the times when they volunteer •has access to their own transport.

Anyone who wishes to volunteer is asked to complete an online form, which you can access here: FORM
