The Proud Archivist – a gallery, bar, restaurant, café and events space situated on the Regent’s Canal near Haggerston Overground station – has vowed to liven up your bank holiday with some exciting events.

On Saturday, 23rd August, the Riviera Buskival – the biggest busking festival in London’s history –will see over 40 performances by 20 of the finest buskers from around the globe across seven pitches and four venues. The acts, which range from music to acrobatics and theatre to dance, have all been hand picked by The Busking Project. The festival runs from noon to 11pm along the Haggerston Riviera, culminating in a fire-show closing party on Regents Canal at 9pm. Thousands of people are expected to descend on Regents Canal as the best least known talents are set to wow crowds, engage audiences and make you dance like no one is watching. The Proud Archivist is thrilled to be a founding partner of what promises to be one of the best street parties in London and an ongoing annual fixture in London’s bustling summer calendar.

The following day, Wrecking Shop London is set to take over The Proud Archivist with DJ sets from Human Hair and Dignan Porch in “Milk Bar” – a new night of London bands and Hard Shakes. For its launch night, The Proud Archivist will be giving away the finest Hard Shakes in East London. If you would like to go along, please RSVP to http://tinyurl.com/lnra6ul.
