Police: drugs arrest, appeal and warning

The Metropolitan Police have announced that they have arrested a man for production and possession of cannabis after a warrant executed by Island Gardens Safer Neighbourhood Team. No further details have been released.

 

Borough police forces are helping Merton Police look for Julisa Watt (right), a 15 year old girl who has been missing from Mitcham since early Monday morning. She is described as 5’ tall and of slim build.

 

 

Police in Hackney, which borders Tower Hamlets to the north, have warned the public to steer clear of Cornell Destouches, who had been staying at the John Howard Centre, an NHS mental health centre. He absconded from a minicab, while on escorted leave, at teatime on Sunday (10th April) He is described as a black man of medium build, 5ft 11ins tall with braided hair and a black beard. When he absconded he was wearing a black and grey T-shirt, blue jeans and navy trainers, and he had a grey rucksack.

Police have stated that Destouches (left) is very dangerous – particularly as he now does not have access to his daily medication. The public are advised not to approach him if they spot him: instead, they should remove themselves to a safe distance and ring 999 at once.
