RAHAD HUSSAIN appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on 29th July. He had been charged in connection with an “acid attack” in Roman Road on 25th July, when two young men – one aged 23, one 24 – were harmed by a noxious liquid.
Hussain, 23, of no fixed abode, was in Court to answer to three charges: two of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an offensive weapon (the acid used in the attack).
During the brief Court appearance, Hussain did not enter a plea in response to the charges. He was remanded in custody and ordered to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 29th August.
