STEPNEY SHAHJALAL will be taking part in this year’s Muslim Charity Run, which is now in its eighth consecutive year. The 5km endurance test has been the ultimate way of uniting good causes with fitness, proving to be very popular with young and old alike.
#teamsj announced this year’s run campaign to the community during Friday Jumuah prayers at Shahjalal Mosque.
In attendance were #teamsj’s running team manager Forid Ahmed, captain Emdad Rahman, Afazul Hoque, Masud Ahmed, Sunur Uddin, Salman Ahmed, Nazrul Islam, Pervez Chowdhury (PB), Jamanul Hoque, Sorwar Alam and Shofiqul Islam.
Forid Ahmed commented, “This is a massive project and will be most welcome within our large and diverse community. It will cater for young, old, men, women and those in need. The new Shahjalal centre will be a community hub and be of tremendous service to everyone. We hope that the community will support us wholeheartedly.”
