A MAN WITH A HISTORY of violent offending has been convicted of murdering Rodney Parlour, 51, at Parlour’s home in Hood Road, Rainham on 2nd October. The murderer is Marc Croxson, 47, of no fixed abode.

Parlour was a friend of Croxon’s sister. His body was found by the emergency services and a post mortem revealed he had died from multiple injuries – a total of 67 separate wounds.

Croxson was arrested on suspicion of murder three days later after the victim’s body was found. He was convicted after a hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court and will return there on 20th April for sentencing.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Holmes of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, who led the investigation, said, “Croxson is an extremely violent individual who has years of violent offending history. He showed no mercy to his poor victim, who suffered horrific injuries at his hands. Having been convicted of murder, Croxson now faces a lifetime in prison where he can no longer pose a threat to the public.”
