AN APPEAL has gone out for the public to help find Stefana Otilia Malinici (known as Otilia), 37, who left her home in Beccles Drive, Barking, on Wednesday, 6th September.
Otilia, who is from Romania, was spotted on CCTV in a supermarket in Green Lane, Ilford, after her disappearance but has not been seen since. When she was last seen Otilia was wearing a black top with a large motif in a light colour and dark tight jeans or leggings which she had tucked into flat, dark, mid-calf books.
Otilia has red hair, in a bob. She may not be able to look after herself and could be very vulnerable if someone wants to take advantage of her. Her family are growing increasingly worried about her.
DS Mike Rapp from East Area Missing Persons unit said, “I want to assure Otilia, or anyone who knows her, that police are here to help and just want to make sure she is safe and well. She is not in any trouble – we are just concerned for her wellbeing.
“We are asking for anyone who may know Otilia to come forward. Her family here in the UK and in Romania are very concerned and want to know that she is safe. We ask anyone who has provided shelter or support to Otilia to contact police as soon as possible.”
•If you have seen Otilia or know where she is, please contact police via 101 or Missing People on 116000. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
