A SLOUGH taxi Driver had a lucky escape on Tuesday night when strong winds blew the roof off a block of flats in Slough High Street – sending debris crashing down into the busy road below.
Cabbie Haris Baig told reporters that the roof narrowly missed him, There were no reports of any injuries. As the below eyewitness footage shows, everyone in the area had a very lucky escape. The structure which fell could easily have killed several people.
Slough Borough Council spent Wednesday clearing up so that the road could re-open – as well as preparing to start an investigation into the incident, on behalf of the Health & Safety Executive.
