Hackney murder: two more arrests

TWO MORE MEN have been arrested as police investigate the murder of Kaan Aslan, 20, on the Nightingale estate in Hackney – but police are still some way short of a breakthrough.

Aslan was stabbed to death in the early hours of 14th November. One man, 25, was arrested later that day. Two 23 year old men were arrested on 30th November and held at an east London police station.

However, all three men have been released under investigation and police have admitted that they still have an open mind on what the motive for the murder may have been – suggesting that there is still some way to go before any charges can be brought.

The police are still appealing for anyone who was in the area of the Nightingale Estate late on 13th November or early on 14th November to contact the incident room on 020-8345 3985. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
