POLICE HAVE released CCTV footage of a man they wish to identify, locate and interview in connection with a shooting which took place in Romford at just after 7.30am on 14th October 2020.
The shooting occurred in White Hart Lane, Romford. Police attended the scene after receiving reports that there had been a shooting. They found a man, aged in his mid-30s, who had a gunshot wound in his leg. The London Ambulance Service attended and took the victim to an East London hospital, where he received medical treatment. He has since been discharged.
Trident detectives from the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command are investigating the case. Their initial inquiries indicate that the suspect left the scene, on foot, along Rodney Way and then went back onto White Hart Lane. Now they have released CCTV footage and appealed to the public to help identify the man caught on camera.
Detective Constable Rob Wilmer said, “We have previously appealed for help from the public and we need to do that again. It is really important that we identify the man in the footage and I would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us as soon as possible. I am also still keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.”
