THEIR VICTIM sustained a head injury – which could have been a whole lot worse – in what appears to have been an unprovoked late night attack in High Road, Ilford, near the Marks and Spencer store, on Saturday, 5th November.
Now the police have released CCTV footage of the attack in the hope that someone can identify the two assailants. Although the footage is not very clear, it is longer than is often the case. It may be that someone has a stir of recognition as they watch the two men in action, carrying out the attack.
The two attackers came up to the scene of the attack from Cranbrook Road. After assaulting their victim – kicking and punching him, and hitting him with nearby heavy objects – they went off in the direction of Seven Kings.
Detective Constable Danielle Adams said: “Thankfully the victim has not been left with any long term medical issues as a result of this attack. I would ask everyone to have a good look at this footage, do you recognise either of these men? If you do, or if you witnessed anything that night, please get in touch with police as soon as possible. It is really important that we identify these two men as quickly as possible.”
