Find out about fostering

IT’S A REWARDING activity, fostering children – and now Tower Hamlets Council is running an event so that you can find out more about it.

As well as children, the Council also runs a scheme – “Shared Lives” – which allows people to help look after adults in need. It’s a kind of daytime fostering for adults. Both schemes offer you the opportunity to support someone in need and to learn new skills. Fostering is open to everyone, though there is an approval process for applicants, whatever your background. Single people and couples can apply, and it doesn’t matter if you own your home or rent it.
