THIS EAST LONDON youth work stalwart has been raising money for charitable causes through indulging his love for gardening and horticulture.
Anam has spread his activities to offering his talent to the community at large. He is invited to homes to carry out tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, weeding and chopping trees. To date Anam has raised thousands of pounds for charitable causes and has worked through all weathers and seasons – and even while fasting during Ramadan.
Anam’s current cause is raising money for flood victims in Sylhet, Bangladesh, and also those affected by the earthquakes in Afghanistan.
Anam said, “I enjoy gardening and the outdoors a lot. Nothing can compare to the suffering of our fellow humans. I’ve received lots of support from my team at Hamlets Hiking Club and friends who wanted to contribute towards such important causes. To date it’s been really busy and I’m happy with the success of this project.”
●Anam can be booked for a gardening session by emailing yescheme@yahoo.co.uk. 100% of the cash he raises goes towards the charitable cause.
