Police are keen to identify a woman who was in charge of two dogs in Pondfield Park, Dagenham, when they attacked a spaniel on the evening of 15th July 2014. The attack took place when the spaniel and her 14-year-old owner were in the basketball court at Pondfield Park. Two dogs ran at the spaniel, named Bella, and began to bite her.
When her owner attempted to pick her up to protect her, he was also bitten on the forearm and finger. He required hospital treatment including a tetanus injection. Bella (pictured above) has since undergone surgery with veterinary bills totalling £378 so far, with more treatment to come.
The owner of the two suspect animals is a blonde female, around 30-years-old. She was in charge of a black dog which was above knee height and a smaller brown and white dog that is possibly a Staffordshire bull terrier. Police believe that she may live locally.
