EL Mosque seeking evening Madrasah Head

THE EAST LONDON MOSQUE is looking for a head teacher for its evening Madrasah, which provides key supplementary after-school Islamic education to children and young people.

The head teacher will lead a team of teachers – who will provide Muslim pupils with essential Islamic knowledge and manners to foster Islamic identity, belief and practice. The head will also ensure that standards are maintained at a high level, with students improving their attainment, and that the curriculum and teaching methods are developed to deliver the desired improvement.

The head teacher will also inspire the young students to learn and practice the basics of Islam and to develop an interest in Islam and an affinity with the East London Mosque.

The headteacher will usually work during school hours (5-7pm, Monday to Friday), as well as undertaking work outside school hours.
