Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in Mile End is hosting a number of events this month – some specially for children and some for wildlife friends of all ages.
Art for all
On Saturday, 11th July top botanical artist Talya will be in residence for the day, with two arty sessions. Families are welcome in the morning for Art in the Park (expect it to get messy!), while adults can come along in the afternoon to learn new techniques at the Botanical Art Session.
Art in the Park, 10am – 12.20pm
Make a sun print, try out inks made from squashed berries and learn the basics of mono-printing to create a beautiful jungle picture. Perfect for artistic naturalists! £5 per child (ages 5+) Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.
Botanical Art Session, 1.30pm – 4.30pm Join Talya for an afternoon of experimental art focussing on the wild flowers found in the park. Have a go at trying a variety of different techniques, including cyanotypes, ink blowing, pencil & pen work – plus much more! Open to all, £25/£20 concessions.
