Rujina Monnan :: Working as a make up artist for 3 years I was honoured to have been asked to go to Croatia to be the Make up artist for a new swimwear range – Beach Junkie Couture (BJC)!!!Kayleigh Ann, the director and designer of Beach Junkie Couture, is a young British female with a passion for luxury. Her collection combines the elegance and glamour of Swarovski crystals with the simplicity and clean lines of the latest on-trend shapes in beach wear.  This budding entrepreneurial socialite has injected her passion for fashion and glamour into the swimwear featured in her latest line. Having spent several years travelling internationally with her modelling career, she has taken inspiration mostly from the Asian world combining bright colours and crystals.
The trip to Croatia meant not only did we have the campaign shoot but we were also showcasing a Fashion show! Surronuded by blue skies and crystal clear water on the island of Hvar I just had to bring the best out in the models with the make up!I decided to keep the makeup natural, concentrating on the eyes with the intention of going stronger in the evening. Using natural colours in the inner eyes, they were smoked out with a darker shade. I kept away black and dark browns as this would look too strong for a daytime beach look. Topped off with black gel liner and eyelashes was the desired look. With the foundation again kept natural with enough coverage to last till the show. Before the blusher I applied a thin layer of MAC Hyper real foundation – Bronze reflections. An absolutely fantastic product for that sun kissed look. Blusher and lipstick colour were kept subtle with some colour mainly using corals and pink for that look on the beach!The evening make up needed to be heavier as there would be more lighting. Therefore keeping the bases the same the eyes were altered by smoking them out with black and black brown. The high quality of the foundations meant that it did not need reapplication, with a top up on the lipstick the models were ready to take on the run way!!!!!!!!!!!An amazing experience, with beautiful people in a wonderful country.
