Hospice makes it two in a row

Beckton- based Richard House Children’s Hospice has won a gold medal at the London Garden Society awards for the second year running. The repeat victory came in the “small garden” category.

Richard House supports children and young adults who have life-limiting health conditions. The gardens are an area where patients, their friends and families can enjoy a moment’s peace and quiet or a relaxing break and are maintained by volunteers.

Richard House provides care for free to those who need it, but it relies on fundraising to bring in £3 million a year to keep that care available. Its next fundraising event will be on 7th November, with The Richard House Secret Garden Ball being held at the East Wintergarden, CanaryWharf.
