Know anyone who struggles with basic computer skills? Mum? Dad? Gran or Grandpa? Now is the chance to catch up – for free (to those on benefits)!
Don’t delay, because the number of places left is in single figures – but the course starts next Wednesday and runs on Wednesdays for the next five weeks. To enrol, call into the centre from 10am t0 6pm Thursday or Friday this week, or Monday or Tuesday next week. Contact the Centre for more information (details below).
And if you’re computer skills are already A-OK, could you please put details of this course on your own website, Facebook page or twitter? Somewhere out there is someone who can’t get a job, or can’t help their kids with their homework – or can’t look at East London News like you are – because they missed out on getting to grips with a pc: you can help us help them.
Later this year, the Unite Community Centre will be running functional courses which will be provided by People Need Skills. These will help people improve their literacy and maths skills and will be done online, in the Unite Centre, in the student’s own time. The courses are free for a limited time. The next enrolment day is Wednesday, 3rd July: again, contact the Centre for more information.
