DETECTIVES FROM the Homicide and Major Crime Command are conducting a murder investigation after a young man was shot in Well Street, E15. The next of kin are being informed and it is hoped that formal identification of the victim will take place shortly.
It was shortly after 10.30pm on Friday, 25th August, when police received reports that shots had been heard in Well Street. Armed police and the London Ambulance Service went there immediately and found a 19 year old man who had been shot. He was taken to an East London hospital but despite the best efforts of medical staff he died after being admitted to the hospital.
The police are appealing for assistance from the public to establish what happened and why, and how, this young man lost his life.
