LEFTLEY SPORTS CLUB, in the heart of Barking & Dagenham, is celebrating after beating Eastbury Community Association to the very first derby game between the two teams.
A brace from the evergreen Zoinul Abidin and an own goal were enough to see Leftley storm home at Mayesbrook Park.
Leftley Sports Club Chair Muhammed Ali said, “The weather was scorching and so was our performance. I would like to thank Eastbury for contributing to such a special occasion and we greatly anticipate a rematch.”
The Leftley Sports Club is a non-profit volunteer organisation. The club is all about engaging the community in physical activity and improving the health and well-being of the community. Membership consists of individuals residing in Barking & Dagenham and the surrounding areas.

Wednesday 6pm – Badminton (limited spaces)
Friday 09.15am – Ladies “walk n talk” (& jog)
