Nicolas Godin, one half of the French electronic duo AIR, will perform live at Oval Space this November! His much anticipated debut solo album has been released on Because Records, and you can stream it exclusively on The Guardian right now.
The new album, Contrepoint, is remarkable: every track is based on a piece of music by Bach and leaps off this springboard into a pool of rock, jazz or electronic music.

Your reviewer would go as far as to say “seriously interesting” but is worried that the music is too simple, with not enough variety to get into: still, if that’s your bag..
