DETECTIVES moved quickly to make an arrest after an 18 year old woman was sexually assaulted in Dagenham on 6th September. The incident occurred on the footbridge between Reede Road and Blackbourne Road, near Pondfield Park.
The following day, Adef Hamid, 26, of no fixed abode, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was charged the next with sexual assault, robbery and possession of a Class B drug – and remanded in custody.
