In their last friendly, Sylhet Sadar drew 1-1 with Moulvibazar at Manley Green.
Sylhet started the game better, and just as Moulvibazar settled Sylhet hit them on the counter attack to go 1-0 up.
Nurul Hoque rang the changes in the second half and his tactical acumen paid dividends as subs Ash and Shalik teamed up for fellow substitute Akil to equalise with a thunderbolt drive from 20 yards. The wonder goal flew into the top corner and the Sylhet keeper had no chance.
Sylhet manager Helal Uddin said, “A good game and a fair result. We bossed the first and they took the second. I have no complaints.”
Moulvibazar manager Nurul Haque added, “Akil’s thunder strike really perked us up. I think we had the second half but I agree that a draw was a fair result.”
