Police are appealing for witnesses after a 28 year old man died from stab wounds at a block of flats in Straight Road, Romford, on 11th July. Police and the London Ambulance Service were called out to the address just after 10.30pm and despite the efforts of paramedics the victim was pronounced dead at the scene just under an hour later.
The deceased was later formally identified and was named as Liam Alan Harman, 28, of Harold Hill. His next of kin have been informed. A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
The Metropolitan Police Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating. Detectives have already made one arrest, of a 27 year old man, who was questioned at an East London police station. He has since been released from custody but remains under investigation.
