POLICE ARE traying to identify and locate the man in this picture, taken from CCTV after an incident last year on a W15 bus.
The incident occurred at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, 16th October. A teenage girl got on to the bus at Morning Lane, E9 and sat in a seat on the lower deck. A man got on to the bus at Glyn Road, E5. He sat down next to her.
The girl reported that the man had made sexual comments to her and then touched her inappropriately. The girl got off the bus at Warren Road, E10 and walked home. The man got off the bus at the same stop and followed her – but fortunately she managed to lose him.
The girl has received support from specialist police officers, while the attempt to identify the man captured by CCTV continues. Now police are asking the public for help.
“This was an extremely distressing incident for the girl to endure. No one should have to experience something like this while going about their daily life and taking a bus home,” explained Detective Constable Dion Bascombe. “We’ve made various enquiries to trace this man however now believe the public can assist us. If you think you know who he could be, please call us without delay.”
