POLICE have issued a new appeal for help in tracing a man they wish to speak to in connect with a violent assault in The Three Crowns Public House, East Road, N1.
The incident occurred as long ago as Thursday, 13th April – at about 7.45pm – but police are reluctant to abandon the case, not least because the attack was serious and unprovoked.
The victim was a 27 year old man who was innocently playing darts with a friend when another man picked up a pint glass from the bar and smashed it into the victim’s face. The attack left a wound on the victim’s face. He sought medical treatment in hospital, where he had to have a number of stitches.
The attack was caught on CCTV, but to date the suspect has not been identified. He is described as a white male in his late 30s, around 5ft 8ins tall.
